Emotions, social skills

One of the crucial elements of KIDS4ALLL is its approach to internal capacity building and exchange through a series of regular seminars touching on various aspects related to the 8LLL key competences.

The series brings together researchers from the different project partners and thus numerous national contexts and realities as well as a range of experts from the project’s International Advisory Board who work interdisciplinary towards new perspectives.

The first seminar focused on social-emotional skills (SES) was held on Feb. 9 and introduced by Prof. Andrea Maccarini (UniPd). The keynote was held by the invited expert Miloš Kankaraš, Director of the Center for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in the Netherlands on the importance of SES, and complemented by the discussion lead from Gabriella Taddeo, researcher at INDIRE, Italy. Particular attention was given to emerging challenges linked to exploring and assessing social, emotional and intercultural skills.

The seminar has proven immensely insightful and contributes to the theoretical framework on LLL key competences that grounds the KIDS4ALLL method and tools.

The seminar series is foreseen to follow suit in this regard by providing further thematic sessions linked to the 8 LLL key competences to ensure conceptual coherence throughout the elaboration of all deliverables throughout the project life cycle.
